Have you heard? Delegates and members from PRSSA chapters from all over the country will congregate in Austin from March 11-14th for the annual PRSSA National Assembly.

PRSSA Hosts Art Show This Friday

John D. Graham Scholarship Opportunity

In September 2009, will you be a public relations junior or senior? If so, we invite you to participate in the $5,000 John D. Graham Scholarship competition, an award presented by the PRSA Foundation, Inc. and sponsored by Fleishman-Hillard International Communications.

Application requirements are described below. There is no limit to the number of applicants from a PRSSA Chapter in good standing, and applicants do not have to be affiliated with PRSSA.

Winners will be announced and the scholarship presented at the Annual Awards Ceremony during the PRSSA 2009 National Conference in San Diego.

Entries will be judged by a committee of public relations professionals who will select the scholarship recipient, and award two Honorable Mention certificates.

The PRSA Foundation currently awards 12 scholarships annually via six scholarship funds. The John D. Graham Scholarship is being given for the first time this year.

Steel is a collective of national creative, marketing and technical talents that offer their clients brand development advertising, media planning & buying, and interactive development.

The Public Relations intern will write press materials such as press releases and public newsletters, pitch media, submit publication lists, manage media databases, monitor and respond to social media outlets, assist in event planning, review publications for local and national editorial coverage, log press clips and editorial coverage, and work on miscellaneous projects that may arise.
*Qualifications: Must be able to work in MS Word and Excel and possess good business writing skills.

Must be a current student pursuing either a bachelors or masters degree.
